My Pamper Routine Essentials

Taking a moment for yourself every once in a while is key not only to feeling comfortable in your skin but being happy in your everyday life. I find sometimes it takes a day dedicated to myself to snap me back to reality and make me ready to take on life. I always feel better when I'm comfortable and refreshed, and I have a couple hacks to get me there quick but also items to incorporate into a whole day of pampering!

For a quick refresh I go for the Caudalie beauty elixir, the smell always makes me feel content and more awake. The fine mist is one of my favorites on the market and refreshes my skin without leaving an oily overcast or drying it out.

Another quick go-to for me has to be the Peter Thomas Roth cucumber de-tox eye patches. These are great for everyday use or for when you feel like your under eye area is a little puffy. A great tip is to store them in the fridge so they are nice and cooling. I have been known to put these on and then put a big pair of sunglasses on to go through the drive-thru at Dunkin' Donuts or Starbucks to get my morning ice coffee. If you get the right pair of sunglasses no one can see them and you are multi-tasking without really working too hard!

However, if you have more time to dedicated to your pamper session I have some great recommendations that you should totally add to your routine. These are items I have used and really love the results of. To start my routine I would get into some comfy clothes, change into some fuzzy socks and make a cup of nice warm tea.

My favorite tea right now is the lavender lemonade loose leaf tea by Zhena's. We have a Breville tea maker and use it so much, that the cost per use is definitely worth it! The fuzzy socks I always seem to go back to have to be the ones from Bath and Body Works, sometimes they can get a little pricey, but they are so worth it and last forever. These socks keep my feet so warm and have grips on the bottom so if you have tile or hardwood floors like I do you won't slip around every where.

I would then pick a hair mask, right now I am using the Macadamia Natural Oil Deep Repair mask, but I have also really enjoyed using the Briogeo Don't Despair, Repair deep conditioning mask. The Macadamia conditioner is nice and thick so I really like to work it into my hair, I then leave it in for at least an hour to get my hair really moisturized.

While I let that sit I also like to do a face mask. The one that I have been using the most lately has to be the Glam Glow gravity mud mask, but I also really enjoy using the Vichy masque peel. If I am looking for a really big moisture boost I'll also use the Origins Drink Up Intensive overnight mask and sleep in it. This is a great one for the weather is starting to get cooler and my skin starts to get really dry.

After I feel like the face mask and the hair mask have had time to set in or I just feel like washing it out, usually an episode or two of Friends, I'll hop in the shower and take the face mask off and really work the hair mask into my hair to get it all out. Once I get both of those off, I'll focus on the rest of my body and exfoliate with a sugar scrub like this well loved breakfast scrub from Soap and Glory.

After getting out of the shower I like to use a body butter on my legs and get back into some comfy clothes, including the fuzzy socks of course! When all that pampering is said and done I will move on to painting my nails. My favorite polish shade right now is Pool Side Service by Essie. I also like to use their cuticle oil and finish with a lotion when everything is dry. After that it's all about kicking back and relaxing in front of Netflix or reading a good book. Do you have any good book recommendations (I'm going on vacation later this week, and I'm looking for a good read)?
