I am also quite a decisive person and when I decide on something that is what happens. So with no back up plan and no job waiting for me I decided to give my two weeks. I know that it will all work out in the end, but it has been something that I have been stressing out about for a while now. I finally stood up for what I was feeling and made a choice that benefited me rather than worrying what others needed or wanted. I needed to be selfish in order to take care of myself and not continue on the path I was going. If you have been reading my blog for a while, you know I graduated with my Bachelors in Nutrition and Dietetics this past year. The job I find doesn't necessarily have to be connected with nutrition but I realized that the retail environment wasn't for me. The only way I will find what I want to do is to continue to try new things.
The center of this recap is boiling down to how important it is to listen to yourself and know when it's your time to make change. What works for others might not work for you, so don't let others decide the trajectory of your life. You should be more worried about letting yourself down than letting others down, because ultimately the other people depend on you to be you just like you depend on them to be them. I know that sounds like a mouthful, but no one but you can be you! The reason people succeed is because they learn to listen to what they want! Make a stand for yourself today and live the life you want to live (as cheesy as it sounds)!
