January and February Beauty Favorites

January and February were random months of playing catch up and trying to get better from a long cold that I just couldn't seem to kick, but I'm back at it again with a beauty favorites post. Before I get into it though I want to chat about how hectic these last two months have been. At the beginning of the year after Christmas, I went to Jamaica with my mom, Jamaica travel diary will be up soon! When I got back I got so sick. I got conjunctivitis, two ear infections, a stomach bug, and an upper respiratory infection...and yes it was gross! After getting over all that, I am also back in school for my final semester of college! Gah can you believe it, 8 years in the making. So as I sit here in the library procrastinating any homework I have for later in the week I decided to write a monthly favorites post.

So after getting over conjunctivitis and not being able to wear mascara, I was super excited to try out the new Benefit mascara Bad Gal Bang. This is mascara is something magical, let me tell you! This both separates and lengthens giving the long spidery lashes I have been looking for for so long now. Benefit really hit this one out of the park, I really like Roller Lash and They're Real, but I have to say I am in love with Bad Gal Bang. Check out these before and after shots though!

My next makeup favorite is a duo that I have no clue why it took me so long to try after all the hype surrounding these. Its MAC's whirl lipstick and lip liner. The shade is the perfect mauve color and I love layering my buxom gloss over the top to give a more shiny look! These are great separate and together, and will continue to be a staple in my makeup wardrobe. I also tried out a new primer in January and February the Kiehl's Micro-Blur Skin Perfector. This product is so awesome at blurring my ginormous pores on my nose and makes makeup application super easy and smooth. Its also great because it makes my skin feel soft and smooth but not oily, it helps keep my foundation in place all day, and some days when I'm in a rush I will just put this on to blur my pores a little bit.

My fragrance favorite would have to be the Jo Malone Wood Sage and Sea Salt Cologne. It is so fresh clean and minimal, a perfect no fuss fragrance that I can just spray on and go and not have to worry about it being to over powering, it is just subtle enough to be noticed but not over the top!

I actually have a hair care favorite this month, I have been focused on getting my hair back into a healthy state that I can dye it soon, because I ended up dyeing it myself and it did not come out as amazing as I wanted it to. So, I have been upping my haircare game so that once it is in tip top shape I can go to the hair dresser and get it done properly. The Caviar Anti-aging Overnight Hair Rescue was amazing while I was on vacation after a day in the sun and pool I needed something to recover my hair. Every night I would put this in my hair and let it seep in over night, when I woke up my hair was moisturized and ready to go.

Now skincare...I have to give an amazing shout out to Ole Hendrickson, it just seems like everyone of their products I try, I love. If you haven't tried the Facial Sauna Scrub, you are missing out! This scrub is so refreshing and warms when massaged into the skin. I love massaging this into my skin towards the end of my shower and then washing it off right before getting out it makes my face feel so refreshed and clean. The next Ole Hendrickson product I have been loving right not is the Sheer Transformation Perfecting Moisturizer. I picked this up after running out of my Tatcha moisturizer, and it is a perfect everyday moisturizer. My skin feels hydrated but not oily and doesn't dry out through the day, which is saying a lot because my skin is very dry. The last item on my favorites these past two months would have to be the Garnier Micellar water, this is great for days when I get home and I want to get makeup off my face quick and relax.

I hope you all had an amazing first two months of the year and wish you a great March!
