Pawtuckaway and an Outfit of the Day

The warmest days of summer are upon us and its time to get out doors and enjoy all the weather has to offer us. Summer is such a great time to experiment with your wardrobe by adding items that may either be trendy or staple pieces you know you'll have for years to come. Yesterday we took a stroll through the local state park, Pawtuckaway, with the dogs and decided to take some pictures.

This skirt is definitely a trendy piece but the quality is beautiful and it actually has pockets! Once I found that out my heart was stollen and I had to have it. I could not find the exact skirt to link but I did find something similar if you wanted to achieve this look. The skirt I'm wearing is from the J.crew outlet store (you might be able to find it on Amazon though).

I have been loving small dainty jewelry and these rings check that box for me. I wanted to try a less expensive ring like the one on my pointer finger to see if I would wear it a lot and if so eventually invest in a Monica Vinader one if I did. The one shown in this picture is from Gap and came in a set with the two others on my ring finger for only $12.99.

The straw bag is also from Gap, but it is a dupe for the one linked below, I could no longer find the same one online, but they may still have it at your local location in store.

The dogs had so much fun swimming in the water and barking at all the other people in the park. We tried to get a Wizard of Oz inspired picture of Kipper and I with him in my purse, but as you can see he is not the type of dog that likes to sit in a purse so after one picture we decided he was against that and let him get back to playing.

We had such a great day and Chancey, my larger dog, was so sad when it was time to leave and for him to get out of the water.

This post was a little different then the ones I normally do, but I really enjoyed putting this together and I hope you like it too.

Have a great Monday!
