My Cold Weather Must Haves

This past Christmas I was so amazingly gifted my North Face Gotham Parka and could never go back to not wearing it, its so warm and allows me to layer it with the many sweaters in my wardrobe. As far as clothing goes, other than my coat, my L.L. Bean boots and Sorel Joan of Arctic boots have been my top cold weather necessities. When I wear them, I also wear thick wool or boot socks and they keep my feet super toasty without making them grossly sweaty. If you want to protect your feet from the elements I definitely recommend these boots. The Sorel boots are great when there is a lot of snow on the ground and I have yet to trip and fall whilst wearing them; which is saying a lot because I'm probably the most clumsy person ever! The L.L. Bean boots are cute and stylish while being perfect for days when it is just slushy and gross out, they are great for when we go camping during the muddy season too!

I have so many different beanies but my favorite is the hat in the picture above, because its so simple to just throw on with anything. Any time of year I can't live with out sunglasses and this pair is super cute and I got them for only $5.99 at rue21.
Moving away from clothing and towards more beauty-esk products, I CANNOT live with out chapstick and lip scrub through the winter months. My lips get so dry and if I don't wear chapstick or some form of a lip moisturizer at night and use a lip scrub multiple times a week my lips will peel. Putting on any lip products other than chapstick is completely out of the question at that point. My favorite right now is the Bite agave lip mask and lip scrub because my lips feel so soft even right after using them.
My lips, my skin, and my hair all get very dry during the winter so anything on the moisture front this time of year is right up my alley. My favorite leave-in conditioner right now is from Its a 10, and my go to way to get a surge of moisture into my skin is the Origins Drink Up Intensive Over Night Mask. Some nights I will just use this as a normal moisturizer in my regimen and other nights when I need a lot more moisture I will put this on after my moisturizer. The next morning when I wake up my face isn't dry anymore, but its not oily either!
So those were my cold weather must haves, and for good measure I threw in a couple pictures of the dogs having fun in the snow because they are just so cute and I could not resist!

I hope you have a great day!
